Jmizi Is Back To the Music Scene, But This Time It’s With His Debut Ep “Party Boy”
The law graduate is back with an Ep after his single in 2016 “Party Freak” produced by prolific producer E Kelly. Party Boy is a 6 track extended play , a compelling project that captures you in the first 30 seconds.
Jmizi opens up the project with The Intro where he showcases his rhythm and poetry skills with witty bars and punchlines while introducing himself to the audience, assuring them nothing but the best. Easing into Party People a high tempo track with a good reggae feel, Sean Paul’s influence on the artist can be seen in this track from melodies down to lyrical dexterity. Followed by Get Up a track solely made for people to dance.
The second half of the project starts off with Plan B where he raps about music how music was always a plan b for him while still in school, his exceptional storytelling shines through once again with a head-spinning chorus that’s delightful and makes the record syrup-sweet. What’s a musical body of work without a love song? In Ohema, Jmizi is singing and rapping to his lover, promising to love her genuinely without holding back. The EP rounds up with Purging Love, On listening to the track, you get enraptured, trapped in Jmizi’s love atmosphere. There is a part of the song that captivates your heart and forces you to take an extra listen.
In all, the Party Boy EP showcases all sides of Jmizi as a talent powerhouse, he is dexterous with his delivery and tries to include something for everybody, both young and old.
