Cardi B Ties The Beatles & Ashanti With Billboard Hot 100 Milestone Pin It

Cardi B is kicking off the new year with another historic achievement.

This week, she becomes the first rapper and the third act ever to have their first three Billboard hot 100 entries simultaneously in the top 10, following the beatles and ashanti.

“I’m very happy, like very motherfucking happy,” She said in a celebratory video she posted on her instagram page.

Cardi achieved this feat with “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” (No. 10), Migos’ “MotorSport” (No. 7), and G-Eazy’s “No Limit” (No. 4). Meanwhile, her newest solo release, “Bartier Cardi” debuted at No. 14, and her Ozuna collaboration, “La Model,” opened at No. 52.

She captioned “What a great way to start my Year.Thank you Lord .Only you and i know how much i pray to you. These last few weeks been too much for me but my Lord always find a way to uplift me .Thank you to my fans ,DJS ,Team for the support .Thanks to all the artist who featured me In thesee songs and thanks guys for showing my second single BARTIER CARDI some love 😍😍😍😍💕💕💕💪🏾💪🏾I love you”

In 1964, The Beatles achieved the same milestone with “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “She Loves You,” and “Please Please Me.” Ashanti did it in 2002 with “Foolish,” Fat Joe’s “What’s Luv?,” and Ja Rule’s “Always On Time.” Last month, Bacardi also became the first female rapper to reach the top 10 with her first three Hot 100 entries.

Elsewhere on the chart this week, Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé’s “Perfect Duet” sits at the top for the fourth week, Post Malone and 21 Savage’s “rockstar” lands at No. 2, and Camila Capello’s Young Thug-assisted “Havana” arrives at No. 3. Rounding out the top 10, Lil Pump’s “Gucci Gang” dips 4-6, Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes” stays at No. 8, and Halsey’s “Bad at Love” jumps 10-9.
